At the beginning of the second week of June, a working meeting of representatives of the Administration and Maintenance of Roads of the Prešov Self-Governing Region (SÚC PSK) and its Polish colleagues and partners – representatives of the District Road Administration of Nowy Targ, the Regional Road Administration of Kraków, the management of the cities of Nowy Targ – was held on the grounds of the District Office in Nowy Targ , Szczawnica and the village of Kroscienko nad Dunajcom.
The aim of this joint working meeting was to strengthen mutual cooperation in the Slovak-Polish border with an emphasis on the development and modernization of functional road infrastructure, as well as improving the connection with the Trans-European transport network.
One of the main topics of the meeting was the discussion of the possibilities and perspectives of cooperation between SÚC PSK and its Polish partners within the framework of involvement in joint projects that would be co-financed by European funds. This is primarily the Cross-Border Cooperation Program Interreg VI-A 2021-2027 between Poland and Slovakia, through which the Slovak-Polish partnership can more effectively solve challenges in the field of road infrastructure.
