An important part of the SÚC PSK bridge program for 2022 is also the provision of high-quality and professional personnel capacities for the performance of diagnostics and inspection activities. Within this area, the SÚC PSK established a new department of diagnostics, quality and complaints with effect from January 1, 2022.
The main mission of the employees of this department is to assess the technical and static condition of road network structures, not only as part of routine and main inspections, but also in the preparation phase for the development of project documentation, representing the foundation for the implementation of reconstruction works on bridge and road structures.
One of the checks was the inspection and testing of the delivered fresh concrete mix, used in the implementation of the reconstruction of the M5661 bridge building on road II/554-031 in the urban area of the village of Košarovce (Humenné district). As part of the inspection, the employees of SÚC PSK focused mainly on the air content in the fresh concrete mixture, as well as on its consistency.
The results of control tests and measurements met the required values of the type of concrete mix that was designed into the structure. The tests were carried out in accordance with the current legislation of the Slovak Republic, construction and technical standards and European standards with the aim of ensuring a high degree of economy and efficient use of PSK’s financial resources at the construction of the SÚC PSK.
