Within the Kežmarok district, the Road Maintenance Administration of the Prešov Self-Governing Region (SÚC PSK) implements several investment actions. One of them is the reconstruction of the 48-year-old bridge structure M947 (No. 3108-005), located in the inner village of Jezersko.

Construction work on this bridge object, the total length of which is 12.3 m, was started due to its poor (grade 5) construction and technical condition. As part of the reconstruction:

  • we will remove the existing bridge top, including the cylindrical beams
  • we will reconstruct transition areas, end walls, wings and storage thresholds
  • we will build a connecting plate on the supporting structure
  • we will insulate the bridge deck
  • we will build a new bridge abutment
  • we will reconstruct the road in front of and behind the bridge building
  • we will strengthen the roadsides with drainage
  • we will implement horizontal and vertical traffic markings
  • we will strengthen the banks of the stream bed
  • we will make service access stairs at both external supports

The planned completion of construction works is set for May 2023.

Financing of the building, the total cost of which is almost 200,000. €, is secured from the resources of the Prešov self-governing region.

During the implementation of construction works, traffic restrictions in the form of a partial road closure apply in the given section. Traffic, which alternates in both directions in one lane, is regulated by portable traffic signs. Road users must also expect a reduced permitted speed of 30 km/h
