Starting next winter, the new large-volume dump of chemical spreading material (so-called spreading salt), will be used for the maintenance of roads in the Tatra region. It is currently being built by SÚC PSK in Poprad.
The purpose of the landfill will be to ensure sufficient storage capacity (2,000 tons of road salt) for winter road maintenance mechanisms, which alleviate defects in the passability of roads by sprinkling roadways with salt.
The total cost of works connected with the realization of the given construction amounts to 285,000 €.
