In recent days, thanks to the favorable November weather, we started construction work on the 53-year-old M6614 bridge (No. 3193-001) in front of the village of Krivany (Sabinov district), whose construction and technical condition was classified in the sixth of seven levels – very bad.
Due to the fact that the bridge was at the end of its useful life and showed significant defects and damage for a long time, in the interest of ensuring the safety of road users, a decision was made to demolish it. We will build a new bridge on the site of the original bridge by August next year.
During the implementation of construction works, traffic restrictions in the form of a partial road closure apply in the given section. Traffic, which alternates in both directions in one lane, is regulated by portable traffic signs. Road users must also expect a reduced permitted speed of 30 km/h.
The financing of this investment event is secured from the resources of the Prešov self-governing region. The total cost of the construction works is estimated at more than €516,000.
